WELCOME!
Queeritage is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to archiving and sharing the authentic stories of the LGBTQ+ community, and raising awareness on issues in queer rights and gender equality.
Our Mission
At Queeritage, our mission is to preserve, educate, engage and empower. We strive to share the authentic stories of the queer community from the past and present, and tell a part of history that has often been forgotten. Queer joy is more than feeling at home in one’s body or environment — it’s community, authenticity, strength, equality...and immeasurably more qualities that celebrate and honor the resilience and beauty of the LGBTQ+ community. Our multimedia storytelling approach aims to provide an all-inclusive experience in the understanding of the history and stories of the LGBT community, and we hope that in our being vulnerable, you can find snippets of queer joy—and at times, pain and queer resilience.
What We Do
As one of the integral enterprises of Queeritage, The Q Word is a journal dedicated to the education and documentation of LGBTQ+ topics—including queer history, experiences, and facts and figures.
Queeritage invites individuals from all walks of life—scholars, activists, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals—to speak (virtually) about gender and sexuality-related topics.
The Queeritage art gallery is an online platform created for LGBT artists and musicians as a way to uplift queer voices and to celebrate their unique and creative art.
